- Potentially of interest because: Agentic AI - Interoperability open standards allow for multivendor environments in this rapidly developing field. The work deals with gateways which can be (inadvertently) a point of control, given the, in our understanding, local scope we are not alarmed.
- Keywords: Agentic AI
As AI agents with various tasks, based on various models, and interacting with numerous services emerge, service providers and cloud operators face the task of designing a comprehensive communication architecture that enables secure and efficient collaboration between those agents. Those architectures will be based on AI Agent Gateways that take care of agent identification, capability advertisement, and reachability. These architectures come with strong requirements on visibility, observability, and policy controls for how the AI agents communicate and collaborate.
There is a community of practitioners that gathers on the Dynamic, Multi-Agent, Secured Collaboration mailing list (DMSC) that explores protocols and mechanisms in this field. The group profiles existing and evolving mechanisms. It identifies gaps. It also explores the benefits of a formal definition of an AI gateway model.
